The Fourth And Final Hancey Girl!

She is finally here and has been for about 6 weeks. I thought it was about time I update the blog. I have been a little busy as I'm sure you can imagine. Stella was born February 7th, 2011. She weighed 6lbs 14oz and was 19 3/4 inches. She is such a good baby and we enjoy having her in our family. She is already growing so fast. On Friday she weighed a whooping 8lbs 10 oz and grew 2 inches. Here are her 1 month pictures. Isn't she the sweetest thing :)

Merry Christmas!

We spent our Christmas here in warm and sunny Florida. It was 70 deg. and we spent a large portion of our day outside riding the girls new scooters and enjoying the sunshine. Riley and Kaitlyn were super excited about Santa this year and woke up extra early. Eden didn't really care about what was inside the presents, but enjoyed the unwrapping of her gifts and those of her sisters. We spent a quite day at home with just our family and enjoyed the day together.

Riley learning how to ride her bike!

We told Riley during winter break she was going to learn how to ride her bike without training wheels. She told us today that she was ready to start. Adam took her training wheels off and thirty minutes later she was riding on her own.

Santa

We got to see Santa at Adam's company work party this last Saturday. The girls had a lot of fun. This is the first time we have gotten them to sit on Santa's lap.

Who has the bigger belly? I think I have him beat :)

Being The Example!

Crystal would rather me not post this, but it's funny.

I have to preface this story with something embarrassing about Crystal. Whenever we have a meal with a sauce, she will indulge herself and lick the entire plate clean. I guess it makes it easier when the dishes get washed!

Eden has been improving her etiquette and eating food off of a plate instead of the table on her high chair. In the past she has smashed food on her table and thrown food to the floor. It has been making meal cleanup easier.

We were at the dinner table a few nights ago and the kids were near the end of the meal. Kaitlyn and Riley were starting to mess around by banging their plates on the table. Crystal told them to knock it off and be a good example for Eden. As little kids do, they watch the older kids and copy. The last thing we want is for Eden to use her plate to make messes even bigger. At the same moment Crystal was chastising the kids, Eden picked up her plate and was licking it clean, just like her mommy does. I turned to Crystal and thanked her for being an example too!

I love this picture of Kaitlyn. It is actually one of my favorites. It captures her personality perfectly. She may drive me crazy, but she sure is a cutie! I have been reflecting lately at how unique each child can be. Riley is our peaceful, quite, and thoughtful child. Kaitlyn is our Wild child. She is loud and sometimes (a lot of the time) crazy. She is constantly reminding me to be patient and laugh at life. Eden is still a mystery. She is definitely a mommas girl, but only time will tell. I'm hoping for some place in the middle of peaceful and wild. People ask us if we are going to have any more kids and all I can say is the three we have are more than keeping us busy (especially my sweet little Kaitlyn)!!
